King County International Airport (KCIA) is one of the nation’s busiest primary non-hub airports. It services operations from small commercial passenger airlines to large military aircraft and is home to a variety of Boeing Company aircraft.
In 2017, Orion Engineers was awarded an 18 month on-call contract for Engineering Services. As the prime consultant, Orion was responsible for managing all aspects of design, budget and schedule for each Work Order that was assigned. Assignments through this Engineering Services Contract with KCIA have ranged from general planning studies to construction management and inspection. Orion staff has provided project management, design services, coordination of field investigations and construction management.
In 2018, Orion was reselected for another 18 month on-call contract. Projects have included:
