Oakland International Airport (OAK) Drive Rehabilitation
Port of Oakland
The Airport Drive road network is the main arterial roadway system that circulates traffic into and out of the Oakland International Airport. The project involves an asphalt mill and overlay of nearly seven (7) miles of asphalt pavement and the use of conventional and recycled plastic asphalt materials. Drainage, pavement markings and signage improvements were also included to create a shared roadway segment to accommodate bicycles. Work was carefully planned to minimize disruptions to the heavily traveled roadway network, ensuring access to airport terminal and supporting facilities remain operational during the improvements.
