Oakland International Airport is undertaking a major rehabilitation and improvement project for Taxiway B, the major taxiway connecting its north field runways and general aviation operations with the south field commercial aviation complex. The project consists of geometry upgrades to permit the operations of Taxiway Design Group 6 aircraft and the rehabilitation of pavements. The improvements include new asphalt pavements for widened taxiway intersections and pavement rehabilitation consisting of milling varying depths of existing asphalt concrete pavement to remove distressed surface courses throughout the taxiway and replace with FAA specified P401.
